Due to the fact that this large and gorgeous fluorite is one of the original specimens of the Redpath collection, the location of its discovery has unfortunately been lost. None the less, it is an exquisite piece large enough to rival any collection. Fluorite has been found in many places around the world but the localities that have produced some of the most fantastic specimens are in the northern Pennine orefields in north-east England where the Heights mine is located or Cumberland where green, white or violet cubes are found.
