THE ARTIFACT BOX
Examining Objects from Earlier Times
All the artifacts "in the box" below would have been common objects for the turn-of-the-century time period of Roedde House. Can you figure out what task they were used for, or what they might have been called? Look at each object carefully. When you think you know what it is, click on it to find out for sure. Be careful! Just because an object looks similar to something you use today doesn't mean they were used to perform the same task. Think about the colour, shape and size of each object, what it's made of, whether it's one piece or several pieces put together, whether it's decorated, and so on. A list of questions to help you guess an object's true identity appears on the House Treasure main page. Click on the trunk to begin!
