The Royal Canadian Legion  Branch #17 Wellington is grateful to the War Veterans Club for having undertaken this project produced under contract to the Canada's Digital Collections Program, Industry Canada. The site contains brief histories of the Legion branch, Ladies Auxiliary organization and the War Veterans Club. It also pays special tribute to our war veterans of the First and Second World Wars and of the Korean Conflict.

They have touched the lives of hundreds of ordinary Canadians in their community, particularly young and seniors. Hopefully their sacrifices won't go unnoticed.

The members of the branch view this web site as a way to establish a permanent tribute to the memories of war experience and a fitting memorial to those who served and to those who gave their lives for freedom.
