Leading the Way
Using the answers to your questions, write a short report about your explorer. It must be half a page of foolscap paper long, and should tell the reader:
-
When the explorer was born and when they died
-
What they were looking for
-
Where they went
-
The dangers they faced
-
How they got along with Native peoples
-
How they died
-
What was most important and remembered about their exploration and life
Use proper sentences, grammar and spelling. The report should have a title and an illustration (picture), which you can make yourself, or, if your teacher will let you, you can print a picture from the Passageways website and stick it onto the page.
