A fishing and farming community in Conception Bay, located between Upper Island Cove and the south side of Harbour Grace. During the 18th Century the settlement grew rapidly as fishermen and planters from Poole and Bristol in England, and from Ireland, were attracted to Bryant's Cove because of its good fishing grounds and its excellent beach for drying fish.
