The countryside around the Savage family cottage at Lake Wonish
was central to Anne's evolving vision of the Canadian landscape,
and a constant in her work. From her studio by the lake shore,
she would re-visit familiar vistas. Even as her painting style
changed over the years, Anne Savage always returned to Wonish
as a source of inspiration.
