Pte. Gordon Allen
PTE. GORDON ALLEN

Pte. Gordon Allen, son of Webster Allen and Mattie Barrett, served in the Canadian Army from 1943 to 1945. After serving as a member of the R.C.M.P. in Western Canada, he enlisted in the Canadian Provost Corps, travelling on the trains across Canada during the war years.


Pte. Abel A. Arsenault, son of Mr. & Mrs. Frank (Fidèle) Arsenault, enlisted in the Canadian Army in Winnipeg on October 10, 1939.

He served with the Winnipeg Grenadiers in Canada and in Hong Kong, where he was a prisoner of war for approximately three years.

He was discharged on February 8, 1946 in Winnipeg.

He received the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal with Clasp and the 1939-1945 Star.

Pte. Abel Arsenault, son of Alyre and Marie-Anne Arsenault, served in Canada from February 21, 1945 to August 18, 1945 with the Royal Canadian Army Service Corps.

Pte. Adrien Arsenault, son of Télesphore Arsenault and Alice Gaudet, enlisted in the P.E.I. Highlanders in 1940. He served in the North Shore Rgt. in Canada, the United Kingdom and Continental Europe, until his discharge in 1945.

Gunner Adrien Joseph Arsenault
GUNNER ADRIEN JOSEPH ARSENAULT

Gunner Adrien Joseph Arsenault, son of André P. Arsenault and Marie-Anne Gallant, joined the army on January 8, 1942 and was posted at the following army depots: Aldershot, N.S. Army Training Depot; Toronto, Ont. Artillery Training Depot; Halifax, N.S. No. 6 N.R.M.A. Clearing Depot. He was discharged on September 28, 1942.

Pte. Aimé Arsenault, son of Mr. & Mrs. Philias Arsenault, served overseas during the war and was wounded in the line of duty.

Pte Albain Arsenault
PTE. ALBAIN ARSENAULT

Pte. Albain Arsenault, son of André M. Arsenault and Philomène Gallant, enlisted in the Canadian Army in Charlottetown in October, 1942.

His military postings include: Halifax, N.S.; Petawawa, Ont.; Valcartier, Qué. and other army bases in Canada.

He was discharged in January, 1946.


Pte. Albert Arsenault, son of Jérémie Arsenault and Marie Pitre, enlisted in the Canadian Army on January 8, 1942.

After serving in Canada for over a year, he sailed for England in May, 1943 with No.2 Tank Troops workshop. He landed in France in June, 1944, proceeding through Belgium and Holland, having been taken on strength with the Royal Regiment of Canada. He was in Germany at the end of the war before returning to Canada for demobilization on February 19, 1946.

Seaman Albert Arsenault
SEAMAN ALBERT ARSENAULT

Seaman Albert Arsenault, son of Agape Arsenault and Véronique Gallant, joined the Royal Canadian Navy in August, 1943 and served on the tribal destroyer "Iroquois", seeing action and service in the Atlantic Ocean (part of the convoy unit escorting ships, etc.), England and Scotland. The famed destroyer also made numerous trips to Russia (Murmansk run). The destroyer also took part in D-Day activities (June 6, 1944).

Discharge date: June, 1945.


Pte. Joseph Albert Arsenault, son of Maxime and Agnes Arsenault, joined the Prince Edward Island Highlanders June 6, 1940, serving in Canada and Newfoundland. He also took part in the Italian campaign, after which he saw action in Continental Europe (England, Belgium and Holland) with the Cape Breton Highlanders.

He was discharged from the service October 30, 1945.
