Pte. Alcide J. Arsenault
PTE. ALCIDE J. ARSENAULT

Pte. Alcide J. Arsenault, son of Mr. and Mrs. Arsène Arsenault, served in the Royal Canadian Army Service Corps from June 5, 1942 until his discharge from the service on January 18, 1947.

He received the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and the 1939-1945 War Medal.

Pte. Joseph Aldéric Arsenault, son of Augustin Arsenault and Lucille Poirier, served overseas in the army from May 13, 1943 until his discharge on May 2, 1946.

L./CPL. JOSEPH ALFRED ARSENAULT

L./Cpl. Joseph Alfred Arsenault, son of André Marc Arsenault and Philomène Gallant, enlisted in the P.E.I. Highlanders, July 15, 1940 and served in the Canadian Provost Corps in Labrador, France, England and Scotland. He was discharged on January 15, 1946. He received the four war medals.

Pte. Alfred J. Arsenault, son of Arcade and Madeleine Arsenault, enlisted in the Army on November 19, 1942. He served with the Royal Canadian Ordnance Corps and went overseas in 1943 as an army vehicle operator. After having served in this capacity during the war years in England, he participated in a European convoy at the end of the war.

He was discharged on April 26, 1946.

Pte. Alfred Arsenault, son of Télesphore Arsenault and Alice Gaudet, enlisted with the P.E.I. Highlanders on April 15, 1940.

He served with the North Nova Scotia Highlanders and the Essex Scottish Regiment in Canada, the United Kingdom and Continental Europe.

He was killed in France.


Gunner Alfred Arsenault, son of Fidèle and Jacqueline Arsenault, enlisted in 1944 and served with the Royal Canadian Heavy Artillery.

He saw action overseas and was discharged in 1946. Re-enlisting again in the 50's, he went to Germany where he met with an unfortunate drowning accident on January 30, 1955.

He is buried in a War Cemetery near Hanover, Germany.

L/CPL. ALMA ARSENAULT

L/Cpl. Alma Arsenault, daughter of André and Léonide Arsenault, served with the Canadian Women's Army Corps from March 13, 1943 to November 29, 1945.

Pte. Alphée J. Arsenault, son of Arsène and Julie Arsenault, joined the North Nova Scotia Highlanders in June, 1940; served in the United Kingdom and in France, Belgium, and Holland for three years and died in Holland June 5, 1945.

Pte. Joseph Alphonse Arsenault
PTE. JOSEPH ALPHONSE ARSENAULT

Pte. Joseph Alphonse Arsenault, son of Gilbert Arsenault and Emilienne Gallant, joined the West Nova Scotia Regiment on October 29, 1942 and served in the United Kingdom, the Central Mediterannean area and in Italy.

He was discharged November 19, 1945.


Pte. Joseph Alphonse Arsenault, son of Charles and Evangéline Arsenault, enlisted in the Canadian Army in July, 1943 after graduation from University. Having joined the Carleton-York Regiment, he went overseas in January, 1944. After some time in Great Britain, he took part in the Italian campaign, in the summer of 1944.

He was wounded three times during the fighting between Faenza and Ravenna, where he died of his wounds on December 12, 1944.

He is buried in Ortona, Italy.
