Pte. Martin Arsenault
PTE. MARTIN ARSENAULT

Pte. Martin Arsenault, son of Agape Arsenault and Véronique Gallant, enlisted in the army on June 19, 1940 and served with the Seaforth Highlanders of B.C. in Canada, Britain, Central Mediterranean Area and Northwest Europe.

He was discharged on November 16, 1945.


Pte. Mathurin Arsenault, son of Jean H. Arsenault and Madeleine Gallant, enlisted in the army in December, 1939 in Summerside, with the P.E.I. Highlanders.

After his training in Valcartier, Quebec, he served with the West Nova Scotia Regiment.

He took part in the invasion of France in June, 1944 and proceeded to Belgium and Germany.

He received the 5 war medals and was discharged in February, 1946.

CWAC Melba Arsenault
CWAC MELBA ARSENAULT

CWAC Melba Arsenault, daughter of Wilbert and Brigitte Arsenault, enlisted in the Canadian army in May, 1942. She served with the Dental Corps as a dental assistant in Charlottetown, Valcartier and Ottawa Army Hdqs.

She was discharged in June, 1946.

Pte. Maurice (Cahill) Arsenault, brought up in the home of Mr. & Mrs. Aubin (Gélas) Arsenault, served overseas in Italy with the Canadian Infantry during World War II.

Seaman Paul J. Arsenault
SEAMAN PAUL J. ARSENAULT

Seaman Paul J. Arsenault, son of Maxime and Agnès Arsenault, joined the Merchant Navy January 8, 1941. He sailed to many parts of the world: Newfoundland, Labrador, Eastern and Western Canadian ports, United States, England, North, South and East Africa, India, Burma, China, South America and the West Indies. He served with the Merchant Navy until July, 1949.

Sgt. Philicien Arsenault, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph P. Arsenault, enlisted in the army on May 8, 1942. He served with the Algonquin Regiment in the United Kingdom and Continental Europe.

He was discharged May 11, 1946.

Gunner Pierre Arsenault
GUNNER PIERRE ARSENAULT

Gunner Pierre Arsenault, son of Agape Arsenault and Véronique Gallant, enlisted in the Canadian army in 1940 and served between four and five years overseas with the 42nd Battery. He was discharged from the service in 1945.

Pte. Peter W. Arsenault, son of Théodore (Eugène) Arsenault and Beatrice Richard, enlisted in the army in May, 1944.

He served in Canada attached to the North Nova Scotia Highlanders.

He was discharged in March, 1945.

Smn. Philip Joseph Arsenault
SMN. PHILIP JOSEPH ARSENAULT

Smn. Philip Joseph Arsenault, son of Augustin Arsenault and Lucille Perry, enlisted in the U.S. Navy on September 27, 1942. He served as a carpenter's mate lst class (T) V6 V.S.N.R. on the USS Pontotoc. He was discharged January 6, 1946.

Medals awarded included: American Area Ribbon, AsiaticPacific Ribbon, Philippine Liberation Ribbon, World War II Victory Medal.

Pte. Joseph-Raymond Arsenault, son of André Marc Arsenault and Philomène Gallant, enlisted in the P.E.I. Highlanders in September, 1940. After some time in Halifax and Newfoundland, he went overseas in June, 1942 and served with the West Nova Scotia Regiment in Italy, from November, 1943 until his death on January 7, 1944.
