Gnr. Robert Arsenault
GNR. ROBERT ARSENAULT

Gnr. Robert Arsenault, son of Emilien Arsenault and Gabrielle Bérubé, enlisted in the army in Charlottetown January 29, 1943. After basic training at Beach Grove Inn, he was transferred to Camp Petawawa where he trained with E. Battery, Royal Canadian Artillery. He was then transferred to No. 6 Depot Halifax on staff of H.M. Hospital until September, 1946. He was discharged on September 18, 1946.


Cpl. Joseph Stanislaus Arsenault, son of Philip M. and Marguerite Arsenault, enlisted in the Royal Canadian Air Force in Charlottetown, P.E.I. on April 15, 1941.

He served as electrician A in Canada April 15, 1941 to January 29, 1945 and June 8, 1945 to August 18, 1945 and in Iceland January 30, 1945 to June 7, 1945.

He received the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and Clasp.

He was discharged in Halifax on August 18, 1945.

Pte. Sylvère Arsenault
PTE. SYLVERE ARSENAULT

Pte. Sylvère Arsenault, son of Télesphore Arsenault and Alice Gaudet, served in the Second World War from 1940 to 1946, with the P.E.I. Highlanders and the Royal Rifles of Canada.

He served in Canada and the Far East having been a prisoner of war in Hong Kong for 4 years.

Airman Sylvère Arsenault, son of Maxime and Agnès Arsenault, enlisted in the Royal Canadian Air Force in Charlottetown, P.E.I. on November 4, 1941.

He served as a motor transport driver in Toronto, Ont.; Trenton, Ont.; Cape Scott, British Columbia and Halifax, Nova Scotia.

He was discharged on November 11, 1945.

Pte. Théodore Arsenault
PTE. THÉODORE ARSENAULT

Pte. Théodore Arsenault, son of Augustin Arsenault and Lucille Poirier, served in the Canadian Army from May 29, 1944 to May 30, 1946.

Tpr. Tilmon Joseph Arsenault, son of Joseph P. and Joséphine Arsenault, enlisted in the army on June 21, 1941. He served with the 8th Princess Louise's N.B. Hussars, in England, Italy, France, Belgium, Holland and Germany. On the way to Italy, his ship followed the coast of Africa and spent a week at Algiers awaiting the rest of the convoy.

He was discharged on March 19, 1946.

Pte. Tilmon C. Arsenault
PTE. TILMON C. ARSENAULT

Pte. Tilmon C. Arsenault, son of Mr. and Mrs. Emile C. Arsenault, enlisted in the Canadian Army on June 5, 1941. In September, 1941, he went overseas and served with the 2nd Heavy Antiaircraft Regiment, in England, France, Belgium, Holland and Germany.

He was discharged on September 29, 1945.

FL./Sgt. Toussaint Arsenault, son of Philibert and Marguerite Arsenault, enlisted in the Royal Canadian Air Force during the war and was killed in action in Malta, December 5, 1941.

He was posthumously awarded the Operational Wings of the R.C.A.F., in recognition of gallant service in action against the enemy.

Pte. Toussaint J. Arsenault
PTE. TOUSSAINT J. ARSENAULT

Pte. Toussaint J. Arsenault, son of Azade Arsenault and Léonie LeBlanc, served in the Canadian army active service in Saint John, N.B. (No. 7 District Depot) from March 5, 1942 to January 22, 1946.

Pte. William J. Arsenault, son of Alphée and Dorothée Arsenault, enlisted on February 27, 1941. He served with the First Canadian Corps (Royal Canadian Army Service Corps), 31st Ammunition Coy, as dispatch rider. In the Italian campaign, he was hurt on his motorcycle and was hospitalized in England.

After his release from hospital, he went to France, Holland and Germany.

He received the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal, the 1939-1945 Star, the Italy Star and the Defence Medal. He was discharged on October 12, 1945.
