son of Mr. & Mrs. Moïse Blacquière, enlisted in the Royal Canadian Artillery on May
15, 1942 and served in England, France, Holland and Germany.
He was discharged February 26, 1946. |

PTE. ELIE BLACQUIÈRE |
Pte. Elie Blacquière, son of Joseph Blacquière and Marie Arsenault, enlisted in the
Canadian Army on January 5, 1943 and served with the Royal Canadian Engineers as stoker
and storeman in construction industry and portable boilers (50-100 HP).
He was stationed in Camp Aldershot, N.S. and Petawawa, Ont. He was
recipient of the War Service Badge and Silver Clasp.
He was discharged on September 26, 1945. |

Cpt. Léo Blacquière, son of Moïse Blacquière and Philomène Gallant, enlisted in the
army on September 6, 1939, attached to the P.E.I. Highlanders.
He was promoted to corporal in 1940 and to sergeant in 1941. He was posted
to Newfoundland (overseas) in 1941, and returned to Canada to attend the Brockville, Ont.
Officers Training Centre in March, 1942, where he qualified as Lieutenant in July, 1942. |
CPT. LEO BLACQUIÈRE |
He went overseas in October, 1942, attached to the Cape Breton Highlanders.
He was incapacitated in a training accident in November, 1942 and was
hospitalized in England for 4½ months. He attended several training centres in England as
instructor. Returning to Canada in March, 1944, he was stationed in Camp Borden, Ont. as
advanced training instructor.
He was promoted to Captain in 1944 and was discharged on September 6, 1945
in Halifax. |

L/CPL. JOHN JOSEPH BOLGER
|
L/Cpl. John Joseph Bolger, son of Joseph Alex Bolger and Mary
Elizabeth Gallant, enlisted in the Canadian Army on June 3, 1943.
He served in the Signal Corps as a dispatch rider in the United Kingdom,
France, Belgium and Holland.
He received the 1939-1945 Star, the France/Germany Star and the
Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and Clasp.
He was discharged on March 26, 1946.
After the war, he also served in the R.C.A.F. from July 24, 1951 to April
25, 1969. |

L/Cpl. William A. Bridges,
son of Benjamin and Charlotte Bridges, enlisted in the army on March 2, 1942; was
stationed in Charlottetown for three years at Quarter master Headquarters; was stationed
in Debert, N.S. for one year with the military police. He was discharged on April 3, 1946.

Cpl. Eugene Brooks, son of William and Mary Brooks, enlisted in the
Royal Canadian Air Force on September 9, 1939.
He received his basic training at Toronto Manning Depot, then on to
Trenton, Ont. for a Service Police training course.
He served in Sydney, N.S.; Torbay, Nfld.; Summerside, P.E.I.; and Moncton,
N.B.
He was discharged in July, 1945. |

Gnr. Raymond Joseph Brown, son of Alphonse Brown and Bernetta McIvor,
enlisted in the Canadian Army on September 11, 1939 and served with the 2nd
Heavy Anti-Aircraft Regiment on anti-aircraft gun sites around London from 1941 to 1944.
He then proceeded to North West Europe with Anti-Aircraft and Field
Artillery until the end of the war. He was discharged October 23, 1945. |

Pte. Dolor Caissie, son
of Octave Caissie and Henriette Barriault, enlisted on April 24, 1942 and served with the
No. 9 Coy-Canadian Forestry Corps in Canada, the United Kingdom and Continental Europe.
He was discharged on February 9, 1946. |
