Pte. Alphonse S. Arsenault
PTE. ALPHONSE S. ARSENAULT 

Pte. Alphonse S. Arsenault, son of Philippe V. and Ursule Arsenault, enlisted in the P.E.I. Highlanders at Charlottetown in 1942.

He served with the Pictou Highlanders in Nova Scotia and Newfoundland. He also served for two and a half years in the West Indies.

He was discharged in 1946.

Airman Alyre Arsenault, son of Philicien and Alma Arsenault, served in the Royal Canadian Air Force from 1941 to 1944. He served in Canada as an electrician.

Pte. Alyre Arsenault, son of Mr. & Mrs. Théophile Arsenault, enlisted in the P.E.I. Highlanders in Charlottetown on December 12, 1942. He trained in Aldershot, N.S. and Camp Borden, Ont. with the North Nova Scotia Highlanders and proceeded overseas on May 7, 1944, serving in the Royal Canadian Army Service Corps, attached to the 10th Canadian General Hospital, as a driver-mechanic. His overseas experience took him to England, France, Belgium, Holland and Germany.

He was discharged on March 30, 1946.

Pte. Joseph Alyre Arsenault, son of Gilbert Arsenault and Émilienne Gallant, joined the service in May, 1942 and was discharged December 20, 1945.

He was posted at Partridge Island, Saint John, N.B. and in Nova Scotia.

Pte. Alyre Arsenault, son of Arcade S. Arsenault and Hélène Gallant, enlisted in the Canadian Army on June 24, 1940, serving in Canada until July, 1941. He served overseas with the North Nova Scotia Highlanders.

After being engaged in England's coastal defense until June,1944, he landed in France on D-Day (June 6, 1944) at Bernières-sur-Mer, seeing front line action all along the North coast of France, Belgium and Holland until the war ended on May 8, 1945. He was in Aurich, Germany, when hostilities came to an end, staying with the occupation forces until August, 1945 before his return to Canada for demobilization on September 22, 1945.

Pte. Amédus Arsenault, son of Mr. & Mrs. Cajétan Arsenault, enlisted in the Canadian Army in Charlottetown in July, 1942. He then proceeded to Halifax and Debert training centres.

He was discharged in December, 1942 due to eye problems.

Pte. Amand Arsenault
PTE. AMAND ARSENAULT

Pte. Amand Arsenault, son of Calixte and Marguerite Arsenault, enlisted in August, 1941 and served overseas with the Cape Breton Highlanders. During the Italian campaign, he was wounded, in August, 1944 at the Gothic Line. As a result of his wounds, he was hospitalized most of the time after August, 1944. He was discharged in June, 1945.


Pte. Amédée Arsenault, son of Arsène and Denise Arsenault, enlisted in the Army on January 13, 1942.

He served in Canada, the United Kingdom and Continental Europe.

He received the following war medals: 1939-1945 Star, France/Germany Star, Defence Medal, Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and Clasp.

He was discharged on March 2, 1946.

Airman André F. Arsenault
AIRMAN ANDRÉ F. ARSENAULT

Airman André F. Arsenault, son of Philémon Arsenault and Roséline Gallant, enlisted in the Royal Canadian Air Force on November 19, 1941.

During the war years, he was posted at the following Air Force bases: Manning Depot, Toronto; Gander, Newfoundland (in the ground crew); Goose Bay, Labrador and Moncton Equipment Depot. He was discharged from the Air Force on May 30, 1946.


Pte. André Arsenault, son of Joseph (Victor) Arsenault and Emma Aucoin, enlisted in the Infantry on October 20, 1944 and served in Canada, United Kingdom and Continental Europe.

He received the following medals: Canadian Volunteer Service Medal, 1939-1945 Star, Defence Medal and the France/Germany Star.

He was discharged on April 24, 1946.
