Canada ships much of its manufactured output abroad. In 2001, 54% of all goods produced in Canada were exported. Most goods travelled south to the United States. In 2001, Canadian manufacturers exported more than seven times as many products to the United States as to all other countries combined. However, Canadian products find increasing favour in other markets. Canadian manufacturers' exports to China, for instance, have more than tripled in the period from 1993 to 2001 as have their exports to Mexico.
