Regenerative Medicine and Nanomedicine Initiative

The Regenerative Medicine and Nanomedicine Initiative (RMNI) supports the development of new and emerging areas of integrative research that span the mandate of CIHR, including nanomedicine (nanotechnology applied to health), stem cells, gene and cell-based therapies, tissue engineering, rehabilitation sciences, and related social, ethical, environmental, economic, and legal issues. RMNI is a major initiative of CIHR, co-led by the Institute of Neurosciences, Mental Health and Addictions, the Institute of Genetics and the Institute of Musculoskeletal Health and Arthritis, with the involvement of most of the CIHR Institutes and branches, as well as external partners.
