It also describes the strategies that communities need to adopt in order to become true host communities and fully benefit from the arrival of new members.

Immigration and the Vitality of Canada's Official Language Communities: Policy, Demography and Identity

This study examines immigration trends of the past decades and their effect on Anglophone and Francophone communities. It focuses on provincial and federal policies and practices, as well as federal-provincial-territorial agreements on immigration. The study also discusses the issues faced by Francophone immigrants outside Quebec and by immigrants in Quebec.
