Martin Frobisher: The Pirate-Explorer

Early Life

Martin Frobisher was probably born in Yorkshire, England, though nobody knows for sure. He was a very adventurous boy, so was sent to sea when he was 14. Later, he became a privateer (a pirate licensed by the king or queen). Sometimes he captured his own country's ships and was later arrested for piracy. However, he was never punished seriously.
