This section is devoted to the rules that some of our ancestors took as serious as the text of the Bible; superstitions had the power to strike fear into the bravest of person. Even those that prided themselves as being upstanding members of the community not to be caught entering flights of fancy of wishing on stars were likely to be caught throwing salt over there shoulder, once in awhile. There are many types of superstitions and they covered every aspect of life, signs of death, forerunners, lucky objects, when to fish, and when to plant their garden. Some of these superstitions are still around today and some people still believe in them as strongly as our ancestors did. Maybe you will find some tradition that you have followed in the stories collected here.
