Finding the "Ghosts of the North West Coast"
This site is designed to piqué the viewers interest in our British Columbia heritage. In our attempt to associate the website with the desired learning outcomes from the BC Ministry of Education we have primarily centered on the social studies aspect. There are many other learning outcomes such as arts and music which are also very applicable to the content of this site.

As you browse and use the Teachers Corner we hope that you will contact us with any ideas and suggestions. We will update and improve it so it is more functional for you, the teacher.

The chapters, as linked below, may be studied individually to supplement your current curriculum, while the eight chapters combined represent an overview of pioneer British Columbia from exploration through settlement. "Finding the Ghosts of the North West Coast" contains a series of questions for discussion and related projects/activities corresponding to each chapter of the site.

Chapter Two: Ned McGowan's War
Chapter Three: Ghosts of Read Island
Chapter Four: John Antle
Chapter Five: Richard Moody
Chapter Six: Spanish Banks
