Pte. Sylvain Gallant
PTE. SYLVAIN GALLANT

Pte. Sylvain Gallant, son of Joseph B. Gallant and Marie Rose Arsenault, served in the U.S. Army during the last six months of 1918.

Pte. Sylvère Gallant, son of Sylvain Gallant and Marie Anne Arsenault, served during the First World War in Canada, the United Kingdom and in France.

Pte. Sylvère Gallant, son of Prospère Gallant and Emilienne Arsenault, served in Canada and overseas in the 85th N.S.H.during World War I.

Pte. Joseph Gaudet, son of Joseph Gaudet and Adéline Tremblay, enlisted in the army in Charlottetown on March 23, 1918 (1st Depot Bn.).

He served in the 85th Bn. in Canada and in France.

He was discharged on June 10, 1919.

Pte. Emmanuel Geneau
PTE. EMMANUEL GENEAU

Pte. Emmanuel Geneau, son of Mr. & Mrs. Octave Geneau, served in the First War with the 85th Nova Scotia Highlanders Infantry.

He was killed at the battle of Cambrai October 4, 1918 at the age of 33.

Pte. Théodore Geneau, son of Mr. & Mrs. Octave Geneau, served in Canada in World War I, having been stationed at Valcartier, Qué.

In World War II, he enlisted in the Veterans Guard of Canada.

Pte. Gabriel Gillis
PTE. GABRIEL GILLIS

Pte. Gabriel Gillis, son of John A. Gillis and Cecilia MacLean, served in the First War and was killed in action on November 1, 1917.


Major Leonard Goodwin, son of John Goodwin and Mary Ellen McNeill, served in World War I in the 25th Bn. artillery and machine gun section (105th Bn.).

As reported in the book: "By the Old Mill Stream" ". . . on returning to Canada from Germany after serving three years overseas, he was decorated with the Canadian Military Medal for Bravery in battle and the 'Croix de Guerre' by the Government of France."

MAJOR LEONARD GOODWIN


"During World War II, he was reporting officer for P.E.I. and Magdalene Islands and also a major in the Reserve Army, attached to the 17th Armoured Regiment."

He was a past president of the Charlottetown Branch of the Royal Canadian Legion.


Gnr. Emmett Graham
GNR. EMMETT GRAHAM

Gnr. Emmett Graham, enlisted in the First World War on August 2, 1915.

He served with the 2nd Canadian Siège Battery.

Pte. Alyre M. LeClair, son of John LeClair and Margaret Gallant, enlisted on June 18, 1918 with the 1st Depot Bn. and served in the 25th Bn. in England and in France. He was discharged May 25, 1919.
