STAFF SGT. ALOYSIUS COSGROVE

Staff sgt. Aloysius Cosgrove, son of Augustin Cosgrove and Anastasia White, enlisted in the Canadian Army on October 3, 1941.

He served in Canada and overseas in the Pay Corps and he was discharged on April 1, 1947.

He received the three war medals.

Pte. John Archibald Cotton, son of Harry Cotton and Ida Beairsto, enlisted in the Canadian army in 1939 and served with the Royal Canadian Electrical and Mechanical Engineers in England and continental Europe. He was discharged in 1945.

Pte. L. Gordon Cotton, son of Harry Cotton and Ida Beairsto, enlisted in the Royal Canadian Air Force in 1941 and served until his discharge in 1946 at Mossbank, Goose Bay and Summerside air bases.

Pte. Joseph Derasp, son of Mr. & Mrs. Léger Derasp, enlisted in the army on January 31, 1945 and served with the Infantry Corps in Canada until his discharge on May 9, 1946.

Smn. Joseph Alphonse DesRoches
SMN. JOSEPH ALPHONSE DESROCHES

Smn. Joseph Alphonse DesRoches, son of Fidèle DesRoches and Marianne Gallant, enlisted in the Royal Canadian Navy in Sydney, N.S. July 9, 1943. He served as millwright chief in the Halifax millwright shop from his enlistment to August 8, 1944. From 1944 to the time of his discharge in Sydney, N.S. March 9, 1945, he was shop millwright with the Royal Canadian Naval Volunteer Reserve.

Pte. Joseph Cyrus DesRoches, son of Fidèle DesRoches and Marianne Gallant, enlisted in the army on April 1, 1943 and was stationed in P.E.I. and Nova Scotia serving with the Royal Canadian Engineers.

He was discharged May 31, 1946 and received the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal.

M./Sgt. Ernest J. M. DesRoches, son of Mr. & Mrs. Émmanuel DesRoches, first enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1930.

In 1939, he was part of the 66 Coast Artillery (U.S.A.).

He served with the army of occupation in Germany 1945-1948, Japan 1948-1951, and Korea 1952-1953.

He retired from the service of U.S.A. in 1953 after 22 years of service.

Pte. Nazaire DesRoches, son of Mr. & Mrs. Sylvère DesRoches, enlisted in the army in March, 1942 and served with the West Nova Scotia Regiment in Sicily, Italy, Holland, Germany, etc.

He was discharged in September, 1945.

Pte. Ralph J. DesRoches, son of Mr. & Mrs. Sylvère DesRoches,enlisted in the army in March, 1942.

He served with the West Nova Scotia Regiment in Sicily, Italy, Holland, Germany, etc.

He was discharged in March, 1946.

Airman Joseph Alfred Duguay, son of Raphael Duguay and Angéline Gallant, enlisted in the Royal Canadian Air Force on February 28, 1941 and served in Canada. England. France, Germany.

He was discharged on January 16, 1946.
