Pte. Paul Alphonse Gallant, son of Mr. &
Mrs. Daniel Gallant, enlisted on August 25, 1942.
He served in the Royal Canadian Army Medical Corps in the United Kingdom
and Continental Europe.
He was discharged on June 20, 1946. |

Pte. Joseph Alyre Gallant, son of Bernard
Gallant and Émilienne Arsenault, joined the army in 1941.
He served as a cook and was attached to the Princess Louise Fusiliers
Regiment, serving three and a half years overseas.
He was discharged on February 2, 1946. |

TPR. JOHN ALYRE GALLANT |
Tpr. John Alyre Gallant, son of Bélonie Gallant and Justine Arsenault, enlisted in the
army on April 7, 1945 and served in Canada with the Armoured Corps.
As a volunteer for Pacific warfare, he trained two months in Camp Borden
with American equipment until V-J day put an end to the hostilities in August, 1945 with
the surrender of Japan.
He was discharged June 13, 1946. |

Pte. Amand-Joseph Gallant, son of Mr. and Mrs. Cyrus E. Gallant enlisted in the army on
April 21, 1942. In September, 1942, he embarked for England with the Princess Louise
Fusiliers. In England, he transferred to a motorized Bn., took a course in vehicle driving
and mechanics with the Royal Canadian Army Service Corps. On his way to Italy with the 5th
Division, they underwent an air raid on the Mediterranean Sea, but survived. They landed
in Naples and started moving North to the Cassino and Ortona lines.

PTE. AMAND JOSEPH GALLANT |
"I spent Christmas, 1943 near the Ortona battle, then went back in February to haul
rations and ammunitions to the troops until August, 1944. Then we went to France, Belgium,
Holland, and Germany until the war ended in May, 1945. I stayed in Germany one year with
the occupation force and came home in May for my discharge on June 20, 1946."

Pte. J. Amand Gallant, son of Aubin J. Gallant
and Jeanne Perry, enlisted in the P.E.I. Highlanders in 1939.
After serving in Nova Scotia and Newfoundland, he was accidentally killed
on November 8, 1942. |

Sgt. Andrew Gallant, son of Antoine and
Joséphine Gallant, enlisted in the army on June 9, 1941.
He served in the Royal Canadian Army Service Corps in St. John, N.B. and
was instructor at Camp Borden, Ont. in small arms, gas, First Aid, etc.
He was discharged on June 13, 1945. |

Pte. Joseph Anthony Gallant, son of Bernard
Gallant and Émilienne Arsenault, enlisted in 1941 and served with the Royal Canadian Army
Service Corps in Canada, the United Kingdom, Italy, Holland and Germany.
He was discharged on May 11, 1946. |

Gnr. J. Anthony Gallant, son of Marin and Marie
Rose Gallant, enlisted in the army in December, 1940. He served with the Royal Canadian
Artillery 86th Bty. and 104th Bty. at Mulgrave and Shelburne, N.S.
He then transferred to Royal Canadian Electrical and Mechanical Engineers and successfully
completed a one-year course as wireless mechanic at Army Trade School in Hamilton, Ont. |

He served in England and North West Europe with
the 4th Brigade/W/S of R.C.E.M.E. of the 4th Canadian Armoured
Division.
He was wounded while serving on the approach to Antwerp, Belgium.
He was discharged on January 6, 1946. |

Pte. J. Anthony Gallant, son of Benoit and
Agnes Gallant, enlisted with the P.E.I. Light Horse Regiment in February, 1941.
He served in England, France, Belgium, Holland and Germany.
He was discharged on November 20, 1945. |

Pte. J. Antoine Gallant, son of Arsène P. and
Julie Anne Gallant, enlisted in the army and served with the West Nova Scotia Regiment.
He was killed in action in Cassino, Italy on May 23, 1944. |
