Sgt. J. Félix Arsène Gallant
SGT. J. FÉLIX ARSENE GALLANT

Sgt. J. Félix Arsène Gallant, son of Thomas and Lucie Anne Gallant, enlisted with the P.E.I. Highlanders, May 1, 1940. He served as a topographical draughtsman in the infantry for 22 months at Canadian Troops Headquarters in St. John's, Newfoundland.

He was discharged September 11, 1945.


Pte. J. Arthur Gallant, son of Azade and Marie Gallant, enlisted in the Infantry in January, 1944.

He received his basic training at Newmarket, Ont., his advanced training at Farnham, Qué. and his battalion training at Sherbrooke, Qué.

He was discharged in Halifax in April, 1945.

Seaman Aubin Gallant
SEAMAN AUBIN GALLANT

Seaman Aubin Gallant, son of Mr. & Mrs. Thomas Gallant, served with the Canadian Merchant Navy during World War II.


Pte. Aubin Gallant, son of Joseph Gallant and Marie Anne Arsenault, enlisted in the Canadian Army in Dartmouth, N.S. on June 7, 1940.

He served in the P.E.I. Highlanders Regiment in Canada.

He was discharged on December 21, 1945. He received the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal.

Pte. Aubain J. Gallant
PTE. AUBAIN J. GALLANT


Pte. Aubain J. Gallant, son of Mr. & Mrs. Jean Pierre Gallant, enlisted in the Canadian army on April 5, 1942.

He served with the 18th Field Engineers having taken his basic and advanced training in Edmundston, N.B. and Petawawa, Ont. After two years in England, he landed in France on D-Day (June 6, 1944) and participated in the battles of Falaise and Caen.

He was transferred to Canada in December, 1944 and was discharged in May, 1945.


Flying Officer Joseph Augustin Gallant, son of Peter Gallant and Eléonore Arsenault, enlisted in the Air Force in October, 1940.

He served with the 88th Squadron (Royal Air Force) and Royal Canadian Air Force.

His service includes One Tour of Operations (35 sorties) with R.A.F. in England with the 88th Squadron from October, 1941 to October, 1942.

He was Flying Instructor in England from October, 1942 to September, 1943 and in Canada from October, 1943 to October, 1945.

He was discharged in October, 1945.

Pte. Azade Gallant
PTE. AZADE GALLANT


Pte. Azade Gallant, son of Mr. & Mrs. Émmanuel Marc Gallant, enlisted at Ottawa in the Canadian Forestry Corps on March 14, 1941.

He served in the United Kingdom and Continental Europe (one month in France, one month in Belgium, four months in Holland and one month in Germany). After the end of the war, he served five months' occupation duties.

He was discharged on December 11, 1945.


Tpr. Bélonie J. Gallant, son of Mr. & Mrs. Émmanuel Marc Gallant, enlisted in the army on May 15, 1941.

He served with the 6th Royal Canadian Hussars (5th Canadian Armoured Division) in Canada, the United Kingdom, Continental Europe and in the Italian campaign. He was part of a regiment (300 strong) looking after the general of the 5th Canadian Armoured Division.

He was discharged on March 22, 1946.

PTE. J. BEN GALLANT

Pte. J. Ben Gallant, son of Arsène P. and Julie Anne Gallant, enlisted in the army on September 21, 1941 and served with the 14 Field Ambulance Royal Canadian Army Medical Corps.

He arrived in England in 1942 and returned to Canada in 1944.

He was discharged on May 27, 1944.

Pte. Joseph Benoit Gallant, son of Glorice and Basélice Gallant, served in Canada with "Le Régiment de la Chaudière".
