CPL. JOHN JOSEPH MacNEILL


Cpl. John Joseph MacNeill, son of John Dan and Kate MacNeill, served with the N.B. Shore Regiment during the Second World War.

He was wounded in France and again in Holland or Germany.

He received the 1939-1945 Star, the 1939-1945 War Service Medal, the Defence Medal and the France/Germany Star.

He was discharged in 1946.

Cpl. Robert MacNeill, son of James MacNeill and Celina Perry, enlisted in the P.E.I. Light Horse Regiment in February, 1941.

Overseas, he was taken on strength by a Hussars Tank Regiment which saw action in Italy.

He was discharged in September, 1945.

Seaman Ronald Roderick MacNeill
SEAMAN RONALD RODERICK MacNEILL

Seaman Ronald Roderick MacNeill, son of Stephen and Kathleen MacNeill, enlisted in the Royal Canadian Naval Volunteer Reserve on September 27, 1943.

He served on the aircraft carrier H.M.S. Puncher, in North Atlantic waters and at Scapa Flow.

He was discharged on March 14, 1946.


Cpl. Percy Alexander Morrison, son of Dan and Ethel Morrison, enlisted in the Canadian Army in October, 1942.

He served in the Royal Canadian Artillery and the Royal Canadian Ordnance Corps, in Canada and the United Kingdom.

He received the Defence Medal and the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal with Clasp.

He was discharged on February 5, 1945.

Pte. Zenon A. O'Brien, son of Herbert O'Brien and Mary Gavin, enlisted in the Canadian Army on October 5, 1942 in Halifax, N.S.

He served in the Royal Canadian Ordnance Corps for three years in Hamilton, Ont.; Kingston, Ont.; and Halifax, N.S.

He was then taken on strength by the Cape Breton Highlanders, serving one year in Belgium and Holland.

He received the 1939-1945 War Medal and the France/Germany Star.

He was discharged on March 16, 1946.

Pte. Donald F. Perry, son of Sylvère and Kathleen Perry, enlisted in the Canadian Army in May, 1942.

After his military training in Charlottetown and Camp Borden, he served with the 8th New Brunswick Hussars in England, Belgium, Holland and Germany.

He was discharged in April, 1946.

Pte. Doris Perry, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sylvère Perry, served during the 1939-1945 war.

Pte. Edmond Prospère Perry, son of Emmanuel and Alma Perry, served in Canada during the Second World War.

PTE. ALPHONSE J. POIRIER

Pte. Alphonse J. Poirier, son of Thaddée and Délima Poirier, enlisted in the army in early 1939 and served with the Royal Canadian Army Medical Corps at Port Hawkesbury, N.S. and other various locations in England during the war.

After the end of the war, he remained on staff at the Camp Hill Hospital until his death in 1961.

Pte. John Edmond Poirier, son of Philippe and Julie Anne Poirier, enlisted in the army on June 23, 1941.

He served with the North Nova Scotia Highlanders in Holland and Germany.

He was discharged on April 5, 1946.
