PTE. JOHN BAPTISTE PRAUGHT

Pte. John Baptiste Praught, son of Ebba Praught and Cecelia MacDonald, enlisted in the Canadian Army on January 9, 1942.

He served with the 1st Division Headquarters (Royal Canadian Ordnance Corps) in Italy, France, Belgium and Holland.

He was discharged in January, 1946.


Pte. Joseph Alexander Praught, son of Mr. & Mrs. Raymond Praught, enlisted in the army on January 13, 1943.

He served with the West Nova Scotia Regiment in Canada, England, and Italy.

He was wounded in Italy on December 2, 1944.

He was discharged on January 15, 1946.

Seaman Lorne Frederick Praught
SEAMAN LORNE FREDERICK PRAUGHT

Seaman Lorne Frederick Praught, son of Mr. & Mrs. Raymond Praught, enlisted in the American Coast Guard on June 2, 1942.

He served with the American navy, patrolling the coastal waters.

He was discharged on August 5, 1945.

Gnr. Neil Leo Praught, son of Leo Praught and Louise Malone enlisted in the Canadian Army in Halifax on April 17, 1944 and was discharged from the service on May 11, 1946.

He received the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal with Clasp and the 1939-1945 War Medal.

Cpl. Joseph Wilfred Praught
CPL. JOSEPH WILFRED PRAUGHT

Cpl. Joseph Wilfred Praught, son of Ebba Praught and Cecelia MacDonald, served in the Royal Canadian Artillery in England, France and Belgium from 1943 to 1945.


Pte. Alger L. Ramsay, son of Russell Ramsay and Devona Birch, enlisted in the Canadian Army in June, 1942.

He served with the P.E.I. Lighthorse and was attached to the 2nd Division.

His service includes: Canada, England, Belgium, France, Holland and Germany.

He received the 1939-1945 Star, the France/Germany Star, the Defence Medal and the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal.

He was discharged in January, 1946.

Gnr. Percy Ellis Ramsay
GNR. PERCY ELLIS RAMSAY

Gnr. Percy Ellis Ramsay, son of Obediah Ramsay and Priscilla Gorill, enlisted in the army on September 9, 1939.

He served with the Royal Canadian Artillery 2nd Medium Bty., in Italy, France and Germany.

He was discharged on October 15, 1945.


L.A.C. Adélard Richard, son of Cyrus Richard and Victoire Gallant, enlisted in the Royal Canadian Air Force on July 23, 1943.

His Canadian air base postings include: Lachine, Qué.; Trenton, Ont.; Winnipeg, Man.; Calgary, Alta.; and Portage-la-Prairie, Man.

He was discharged on September 24, 1946 at Dartmouth, N.S.

Medals awarded: C.V.S.M. and 1939-1945 War Medal.

Gnr. Albin Richard, son of Cyrus Richard and Victoire Gallant, enlisted in the army on October 5, 1942.

He served with the Royal Canadian Artillery in Canada and North Atlantic area.

He was discharged on February 26, 1946.

Pte. Joseph Alfred Richard, son of Cyrus Richard and Victoire Gallant, enlisted in the army on January 8, 1943.

He served with the North Nova Scotia Highlanders until his discharge on February 20, 1946.
