Campbell's Corners
Campbell's Corners is situated at the crossroads of Gosford and le Rang 8-9. The first settlers were members of the Campbell family. John Campbell and his wife Susan Irwin opened the first general store. Campbell's Corners was an important commercial place during the 1800's. In 1831, a carpenter by the name of John Irvine settled here. Then, in 1835, a protestant school was built and, in 1861, there was also a saddler, a weaver and a miller.

In 1882, the Anglican Church of the Ascension was erected there and in 1925, it was moved to the village where it still stands today. A few services yearly are still held in the Church of the Ascension, especially for religious celebrations or funerals. The Anglicans of Inverness also attend the Thetford Mines's Church of St. John the Divine.
