60th Anniversary Gala of the Canadian Conference of the Arts
Bulletin 35/05
Ottawa, September 7, 2005 - The Canadian Conference of the Arts (CCA) is hosting its 60th Anniversary Gala on Wednesday September 28, 2005 at the National Arts Centre (NAC) in Ottawa in honour of everyone who has played key roles in the CCA over the years – board, staff, life members, award winners, funders, donors, parliamentarians and you, our membership. The evening will commence with cocktails and performances at 6pm in the Salon Room of the NAC, followed by dinner at 7:30pm.
This will be an opportunity to celebrate the past, present, and the future of the arts in Canada – and the remarkable organization that helps make it happen. There will be performances, remembrances, and the presentation of the CCA’s annual awards.
We have invited The Honourable Liza Frulla, Minister of Canadian Heritage, to help us celebrate, and although she has not yet made a firm commitment, we are confident that she will be able to join us.
Seating for this gala event is limited.. Only 100 tickets will be sold, so be sure to call now to avoid disappointment. If you wish to support the important work of the CCA, you will receive a charitable tax receipt for any donation above and beyond the ticket price. If you are unable to attend, we would also welcome a contribution to the continued work of the CCA.
.
Tickets can be purchased up until September 26th, 2005 for $60 by calling the CCA’s Member Relations Coordinator, Jessica Pancoe, at (613) 238‑3561, extension 10. Or you can email her at jessica.pancoe@ccarts.ca. In order to confirm your attendance to the gala dinner, please note that payment is expected by September 26th. In keeping with the nature of the organization and the event, we are asking people to dress with “creative elegance”.
